our story

The name says it all

"Ghorer Ranna" means home cooking in Bengali — and that's exactly what this is. No restaurant shortcuts, no steam-table flavors. Every curry is made in small batches, the same way it would be made for family: slow-cooked bhuna, hand-ground masalas, and a pot of masoor daal always on the side.

We started cooking for a few neighbors who missed the taste of home. Word travelled, and now we cook weekly tiffins and made-to-order dishes for anyone craving that same feeling — a plate that tastes like someone's ghor, not a kitchen line.
